As a crucial member of the North West Hyperbaric Facility, Dr Chris offers round-the-clock emergency treatment for SCUBA divers, along with providing essential care to other patients within the NHS. His expertise in assessing and treating divers suffering from Decompression Sickness and barotrauma-related injuries ensures that you are in safe hands.

Currently, our range of services include 'Recreational Diving Medical assessment' for BSAC, PADI or other diving agencies. However, exciting new additions are on the horizon! Soon, we will be offering Commercial Diver Medical Assessments and other specialised medical services to cater to a wider array of diving and offshore needs.

Dr Wood's passion for diving spans over two decades, with over 1000 dives worldwide and more than 15 years as a seasoned diving instructor. His knowledge of the underwater realm and genuine enthusiasm for the sport bring a unique perspective to his medical practice. He is familiar with the training saystems of all the popular diving agencies holding qualifications with PADI, BSAC, TDI and IANTD. He is proud to hold the coveted BSAC First Class Diver award.

Dr Wood's love for diving extends beyond personal enjoyment. He actively contributes to the diving community by teaching for his local BSAC branch and running regional First Aid and diving medical courses.
